New
Members
We welcome all new members of any age to join our Club even if you have never
played bowls before. Our friendly members, one who is a fully qualified coach,
are always on hand to provide a helping hand. For ladies, Monday is Club afternoon
dedicated to practice, teaching or improving skills - Tuesday is ladies social
day.
Wear
Bay Bowls Club
Founded
in 1948 the Club is situated in the East Cliff and Warren Country park area
of Folkestone with spectacular views of the English Channel. The Warren is a
special place and a local nature reserve and site of special scientific interest.
The
Club
The Club is affiliated to the English Bowls Association and the Kent
County Bowls Association. Both ladies and Gent's sections take part in the Shepway
League, together with a comprehensive fixture list of mid-week and weekend friendly
matches.
Social Aspect
In our clubhouse we boast a well stocked bar at very
reasonable prices. There is always something going on in the evenings, during
the summer months and in he non-bowling winter months various activities such
as darts, whist, quiz nights and our popular Bingo and fish and chip suppers.
Although on the green we are very competitive the Club does put a lot of emphasis
of the social aspect of a Bowls Club which keeps us in touch with our colleagues.
