Lyminge Bowls Club
Lyminge Bowls Club is situated next to the Village Hall and is acknowledged to be the club with the best setting in the Shepway area. It lies on the western edge of the village of Lyminge and looks out onto farmland on one side and the church the other..
The
Club
Although there are separate Men's and Ladies' Sections, both of whom compete in the Shepway League, the Club is essentially a mixed club when considering friendly matches.
Membership
Applications for membership are welcomed from all levels of playing standards of both sexes and all ages. Novice bowlers, especially young persons, are also encouraged and a beginner's course is organised each year at the start of the season.
The club was founded in 1933, has six full-sized rinks which are acknowledged to be one of the best in the area. A new club house, completed in 2002, was provided with the help of the Lottery Fund. It is well-equipped with a bar, kitchen and a good-sized function
