Bowls Club was established in 1905
and is located in a prime position in Cheriton Road.
The Greens
The club has two Lawn Greens, each consisting of six full sized rinks,
which are exclusively available to the Club. A professional green keeper is
employed to tend the greens.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse is spacious and comfortable, featuring a large well furnished
lounge and bar area, overlooking with direct access to the greens. Adjoining
the lounge and bar is a restaurant which can seat about sixty diner per sitting.
Various social functions are held throughout the year. The players dressing
rooms are spacious and fitted with security lockers. We also have a CCTV monitored
car park.
It shares it extensive clubhouse facilities with the Folkestone Indoor Bowls
Centre.
New Bowlers
New and first time bowlers are always welcome. We believe that bowls if the
most sociable of all sports and it is policy to ensure that all our members
enjoy both bowling and social activities. Tuition, coaching and advice on
equipment will always be available. Should you decide to join you will be
encouraged to play in games as soon as you feel confident. All members will
welcome and help you.
